About US

Paul Roberts has continued to enhance and improve the standard of the city’s accommodation services through constant regeneration and staying ahead of the times.

With vast knowledge of the property market and a substantial portfolio of developments, we strive to constantly improve and develop the environment around us, with a reputation of high quality designs, attention to detail and strict ongoing maintenance and upkeep of our portfolio, co-ordinated by our in-house maintenance team.

What’s next?

Expanding our extensive portfolio, we have recently acquired the former Barretts Jaguar Dealership site on St Peter’s Street to create a new, boutique development including student accommodation and private residential properties.  Pulling together our experienced project team, including Abbott Construction as the main contractors, we are hugely excited about this scheme and the vast benefits it will bring to the city centre.

With more exciting developments in the planning and preparation stages we are full steam ahead for this year, bringing more fresh and innovative ideas to the table, to continually raise the standard of Canterbury’s property stock.

Our Team

From the early planning stages of a development right through to assisting our tenants once they have moved into their newly built home, the PRC team bring a whole host of skills to the table in order to exceed our brand expectations.

  • After starting out with an Architects practice in the 1980’s, Paul has continued to grow and branch out into other areas of the property industry. In the mid 2000’s Canterbury’s first student village was taking shape, which Paul led with designing, planning and developing. Now, with a wide range of developments under his belt, Paul is looking forward to enriching Canterbury’s amenities and property further with ongoing and new schemes, as well as exciting new projects in the pipeline.

  • Joining Paul at just 17, Jamie has excelled at his technical career with the support of Paul. Jamie is now responsible for managing projects, co-ordinating professional consultants and overseeing all planning and building stages of the company’s developments bringing a full range of architectural proficiency.

  • Joy has undertaken all of the financial administration for Paul for nearly 20 years now. Joy’s role is to maintain the cash flow in the business, report monthly to the Directors and liaise with banks, suppliers and contractors on a daily basis to keep the finances running like clockwork. Joy also claims the title of Mrs Roberts!

  • With a background in corporate finance, Ellie joined us in 2017 and brings a huge amount of accounting experience to the team, so is Joy’s ‘right hand man’ with the accounts. As well as managing the finances, Ellie takes the lead with managing the team and deals with all staff welfare matters, leading the staff meetings and ensuring the office operates as smoothly as possible.

  • Sophy holds a wealth of knowledge surrounding the Paul Roberts Canterbury portfolio, after working for Paul for over 30 years. Sophy’s main role is to oversee the maintenance across the ever-expanding portfolio by co-ordinating contractors and liaising with letting agents and tenants, so that any issues are resolved promptly.

  • Abbie joined us in 2021 to provide administrative support to the team and brings advanced knowledge of Excel, excellent customer service skills and amazing organisational experience to the office.
